Workshop Overview

The SHIELD 2025 workshop aims to address the critical challenges and evolving landscape of healthcare security. In an era of rapid digital transformation, healthcare organizations face unprecedented cybersecurity threats that could compromise patient data, disrupt critical services, and undermine trust in healthcare systems. Moreover, the protection of healthcare data is crucial due to its sensitive nature. Data breaches can have serious consequences for patient privacy, and system administrators are responsible for implementing adequate security measures. If these measures are insufficient, they may face civil liability, with significant financial penalties, as well as criminal liability for negligence or unauthorized access to data. This workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to explore cutting-edge strategies, technologies, and best practices for safeguarding healthcare infrastructure, protecting patient privacy, and ensuring the integrity of medical data.
